About Me
HELLO!!!!!!!! I'm Silly Salmon, I'm a 19 year old artist, most of my art are either digital 3D animations/models or traditional pencil drawings. I'm also a writer and went into art so I could hopefully one day show my stories and characters to people with my art.
In most of my art I try to tell some type of story, I believe stories and art in general are a way for people to convey their emotions or thoughts in a way that just speaking can't.
My stories are all very unique but generally all share the same themes of togetherness, queerness, resistance against ternary, and the hope that we can all help make this world a better place via our differences.
Thalamus
The biggest thing I've worked on and the thing I'm the most proud of is a game I made back in 2022 with my friends called “Thalamus.” The story takes place in a future where a surveillance company named “Argus Panopties” basically controls the world with their Thalamus surveillance system. However, after the Thalamus AI becomes self aware, him and 2 other Argus Panopties employees start a plan to take the company down.
The story tackle's themes of mass surveillance, capitalism and its failings, corruption, friendship, and what makes some alive.
Despite us not finishing the game the time I spent with my friends brainstorming the story and gameplay is something ill cherish forever. Plus this game is that got me to peruse art and writing in the first place, and hopefully one day ill be able to do the story of Thalamus justice and create a game, show, film, or whatever that lives up to what we wanted to make.
